New years in spain was absolutely insane. It felt a lot like time square would be in new york, you know with the ball dropping and everything except ive never been to new york at new years but thats how id imagine it would be. The tradition here in spain is to eat 12 grapes when midnight strikes, one for every month for good luck. I was slightly inebriated at the time and only got about seven of those squishy grapes down my throat, I tried to just pour them all into my mouth to get them all in the minute. Yea that didn't work, grape juice all over me and in my eye, that hurt bad. I was then molested by spanish boys trying to wipe there sleeves on my face. Sam beat them off, screaming "she doesn't need your help" in spanish. I cleaned myself off and then the celebration continued. There were extremely large dance circles that sam's roomate Aris and I were the champs of, lots of fireworks, wigs and masks everywhere, and people blowing up shit on every turn. The night ended with sam and I walking lost around Madrid because we missed the last metro home. After about an hour of walking we ventured on to an empty night bus that dropped us off in close proximity to sam's piso. I hope everyone in the mainland had an exciting adventure of a night as I did here, and that you are all safe. Its only about six in the morning there so no one will read this for awhile but good day to you all.
hope all went well sister, it was good talking to you last night.
I leave for england tomorrow!!
