You're just what I need.

I need a break. And I don't mean home, because home isn't home right now, because next week, I will be shoved into the Drywall Dungeon again, and I will most likely be miserable.

I need a real break. I need three days to catch up with my family. I need 36 hours straight to talk to my dad about EVERYTHING. I need to re-connect with the male and much older version of myself. I need 5 hours to go horseback riding. I need the rest of the time to run around my town and say goodbye (only temporarily) to the people in the places I love the most.

I need a car. Mine would work, but a nice vintage car would work just as well, if not better.

I need two new swimsuits. An itsy-bitsy teeny weeny, yellow polka dot bikini, and a wetsuit that I can wear so I can learn to surf.

I need a map that I can set fire to and throw out the window on Route 66.

I need the entire works of Jack Kerouac, John Green and Jim Morrison.

I need 43 bottles of Red Zeppelin and a fake ID.

I need a dashboard drummer.

What I don't need is an excuse to get out of New York State.

"And you're just what I need,
And you're just what I need,
Not everything works as it seems,
Is that so hard to believe?"
