thanks to everyone who wished me luck and especially those who kept me in their thoughts and prayers this morning. my interview went very well. one of the therapists- jaqueline, showed me around the spa little bit (btw, if i get hired i am gonna get SO lost- every single hallway in the 41 treatment room spa looks exactly the same!!!!) then i met winnie who i was doing my first treatment on. they had me do a 50 min reflexology session. i'm thinking to myself- yikes can this get any easier? then i start talking to winnie, yeah, she's been a therapist for 22 years. greeeeat, have me do reflexology on the reflexology master who has been doing it longer than i've even been ALIVE! :) she was a nice semi-older lady who told me i did lovely and gave me a hug, lol. then i gave jaqueline a 50 min swedish deep tissue massage. their stupid lotion messed me up a bit- she said it was the old kind they don't use anymore. she said it didn't have much drag and you had to reapply a lot. yeeeeeah, that was an understatement! one arm later i switched to oil, lol. my lack of experience with oil was still better than that lotion! and what i will *never* understand is why spas think it's like uncool or something for their therapists to wear holsters for their lotion/oil. noooo, put in a flip top container so you have to constantly open and close it and try and figure out where to set it down...right. spas are stupid :) oh and they have like rich spa massage tables that adjust with hydrolics instead of pegs like everyday therapist tables and i kept stepping on the stupid thing during the massage! well it was in the way! jaqueline just laughed but c'mon, the table kept going up and down! *oye* anyway. afterwards jaqueline said something along the lines of i've been a therapist for 7 years and i've had lots of massages and that was really good. so yay, she liked me! she was super nice too, so that was a plus. then we talked to karen (the spa director) and she said that was it for today and that winnie and jaqueline would talk to candy and danielle (the spa managers) and they would get back to me. but candy is out until thursday so i'll have to wait a bit. but jaqueline said she'd be sure to tell them how much she liked me :) so i would definitely say it went well, now i wait again and hope that if they hire me they'll train me in all the stuff they offer cuz i wanna know it all and that i don't get lost in their big confusing spa!!!
oh, and also, exactly two months after my graduation i finally recieved my license in the mail today! hurray! i'm FINALLY a lmt! i even memorized my license number already- 06960, yup, i'm a dork :)
