I know it's Pi Day, but I made pretzels. The daughter of a family friend overdosed and died, either late last night or early this morning. She'd had problems with drugs for a while, but we hoped she'd get through the other side. I didn't see Bailey often, since the family friend and Bailey's mother were divorced. The Hub and I went to the store for holiday baking supplies today. There was a food drive for the LA Regional Food Bank, so we picked up some canned goods to donate, too. It's something. O'neil graduated high school today! His big sister flew back from Barcelona early to celebrate (she's been studying there) and their stepfather made it back from the Middle East, too. Saturday, The Hub and I had lunch at Native Foods in Culver City. I wanted some vegan eats, instead of the horrible pseudo-Mediterranean Daphne's, which is near the movie theater we like to see bigger releases at. I got up this morning, had Mythbusters ready to go, had a cup of coffee ready to pour for a quiet morning, when my sis-in-law, Romy, called. My niece missed her bus to Union Station and was worried about missing her train to Fullerton (her boyfriend goes to school there).
