does love make us into who we are or who we aren't? love makes people do things that they would never do. strong people melt at the thought of thouse that they love while weak persons have been known to kill over love. cities have been built and cultuers have been distroyed in the name of love. songs have been composed, book written, poems come manifest. days dedicated, and stores built, all because of this word... Love. love is what drives a mother to dive in fromt of a speeding car to save their child. yet is has lead people to kill thousands in the name of love of their country. yet people will put up with incrediabel hardship, tortuer, abuse, even death for what they love. people are born out of love, and people are killed out of love.
yet we can't answer a simpel question. what is love?
the dictionary can't even give a clear response.
1 A deep, tender, ineffable feeling of affection and solicitude toward a person, such as that arising from kinship, recognition of attractive qualities, or a sense of underlying oneness.

everything from a "sense of underlying oneness" to a zero score in tennis.
you ask a poet and you get a anthology of works, you ask an artist you get a painting or a sculptuer, a photographer you get a 1000 words in a sigle image. you ask a parent, their children. a teenager their car. a catholic God. this small word has so much meaning in it that the world revolves around it. ask anyone youknow what they love and they will be able to answery you quickly, not a person has to think about that one. love is such a word and concept that people don't know what its opposite is. you ask some one and they will say hate. but think about it. crimes of passion, hate crimes, they all come from love, but it is a love of that which it is not. hate crimes come from whites loving whiteness so much, or blacks loving blackness so much. love and hate walk hand in hand, if a person can not love they can not hate. so what is the opposite of love, indiffrence. a total lack of caring. think of all teh people that you know tht never get realy excited about anything, never show a great amount of emoution. ask them about somethiong that they like. their is their love and passion.
so back to the origional question, does love make us who we are or who we arn't?
