Coconuts and Candy

Aug 25, 2005 22:37

So its been quite sometime since i have updated this thing. I've managed to buy myself a new laptop. Its a Toshiba's satellite, i love it to death. I enjoy the satisfaction of knowing that you bought something all by yourself with your own money that you worked hard for. Work has consumed my life so far considering thats all i ever do nowadays but getting to flirt with the boys from Amazon dot com makes it well worth it. So anyways you might wonder what this entry has to do with coconuts and candy. So here it goes. As some of you may know i am weird. Yes, i have finally admitted that. My hatred for coconut falls into my despise for the word "moist" and people who insist on eating noisily. For the longest time i thought i was the only one who hated coconut, in any form and texture, but tonight i am no longer the only one. Like any eighteen year old my age i was listening to NPR and their special with Steve Almond and his new book " Candy Freak" when he comes upon the topic of coconuts and their horrible texture. The gritty, dry and suntan oil scented mess that people put into their mouth. Not only did he touch upon its horrible taste but he also commented upon the horrible tendency that it has to stick in between your molars, bicuspids, and canines. That made my night.

Good bye amy, I will always love you. Enjoy your French men, French Food, french sunsets, French music, French kisses, and French French.
