In Greece, Romaniotes hold the sword fish is kosher as it has scales in the first months of its life, while Sefardim disagree (from Greek cookbook).
In Italy, "some communities" hold that the sturgeon is kosher as it has scales, just "weird" ones basically, while others don't, and you have to go with your minhag or ask daas Torah about the minhag hamakom (from 1920's Italian cookbook).
