mine was wonderfully quiet this year, didn't even watch the ball drop. had a few drinks and went to bed.
got shippuden shikamaru more or less done, just need shoes and to make the tool pouches. genin/chunin version is coming along well, putting trim on the jacket and need to get some fabric paint, but that's all easy. i found a great alternative to a military surplus flak jacket: a fishing vest! it's lightweight (so i won't boil), still has lots of pockets, about 1/4 the cost (and that's with armor plates removed), and comes in solid green instead of camo or tan. it's not exact, but i'm not worried... i use whatever is close if the price is right, and i wasn't about to spend upwards of $200 for a single costume piece. it was a little pricey for my liking but still cheap enough that if i feel the need to adapt it and make it more like a flak jacket, i won't feel bad if i "tear it up"
i wanted to work on grimmjow since i've had the past week off work, but i've also felt super lazy and lethargic. most of my time was spent in bed watching shippuden and playing pockie ninja... not gonna lie. i'm not looking forward to going back to work tomorrow, but the paychecks are nice and it's only a month and a half to naka :)
