Money and new cosplay!
I finally got the expected check and have been able to get a few things I needed and a bunch that I didn't XD I'm still not going to make it to AFW, but I will make it most of the others! And a new cosplay idea has popped up since then!
I'm hoping to go to two sci-fi cons as well as the nearby anime cons, and I'm Trekking out for both of them! I have my "Yeoman Red" for Glitch Con (complete with old school tricorder!), and putting together a Bajoran terrorist for Archon. When I found the tricorder on ebay it was in a lot with a Bajoran phaser. Both have original boxes (don't know if they've been opened or not, one shows a little wear) and the price was too good to pass up, and I can string a chain between my piercings for the Bajoran earring and not worry about it falling off. I also found the nose ridges for dirt cheap, although I don't know if I can wear it due to latex allergy.
I also ordered my steampunk outfit. It wasn't my first choice, but it's still very pretty and the corset was on sale! And it fits my original color scheme very well, so all of my props and the jewelry I made will match.
My summer just got a whole lot better. Now I just hope that my doctor visit and tooth-pulling all goes smoothly.
