This
video pissed me off so much I had to post.
I have 1) an education, 2) a family, and 3) happiness, and I have all of those not just despite of, but because I had and am still having pre-marital sex.
I like sex, so I'm certainly happier having it, but if I couldn't have sex without getting married, I doubt I would have even considered a serious relationship in college, and that changes the rest of my life. I can't even imagine being sure enough to marrying someone without knowing if you were sexually compatible. There would have been enormous pressure to marry much earlier, perhaps in undergrad or immediately upon graduation. That certainly would have messed with my education. If I had waited, I would have probably just put off serious relationships entirely until I was ready to get married...which hasn't happened yet. That means I wouldn't have the family I have now, and I wouldn't have gotten the same support for grad school I have now. So yeah, I'm really really glad I started having sex when I did.
And when I have kids, I'll tell them to have sex when they're ready, and before they sign any binding legal documents.
