[the watch turns on to record the image of a brunette girl, loose hair a tangled messed over her back and shoulders. before her, a pair of ribbons lay half-buried in the snow, flapping softly in the ever increasing wind. the girl lays there, unmoving for a long time; it seems like she's passed out briefly, after making her way out of the station. it's barely.. barely visible behind her still form.
what seems like hours but is really only a few minutes passes, and then the girl gives a shudder. her hands shake as she claps them over her mouth, and begins to cough repeatedly. it's a painful sounding cough, straight from her lungs. her chest burns, as she lowers her hands from her mouth and raises her groggy gaze to the scenery around her.]
Where... what? [grogginess is replaced with confusion.] This isn't...
[a glance back at the train station, and a frown forms on her face. is this some kind of a joke? it wasn't winter in morioka, last she'd looked. hokkan had been entering an ice age, but... it was hardly as bone-chillingly cold as it'd been there.
cold enough for her to continue to shudder and clear her throat, but otherwise...]
Father? [this girl knows this isn't home. but she's still dreading (and hoping?) that her father is here. just any familiar face will do right about now.]
Mr. Ohsugi? Grandmother? [when nobody answers, her face falls. she looks tired. her eyes are still red-rimmed, and... yeah. she's not had an easy time of it, wherever she's been before she's come here.
she looks about some more, and does a double take when she sees her
weapon, a long pole-like thing with a sickle-shape, swordlike blade at its end -- lying not far from her. the girl grips her hands around the staff, leaving bloody fingerprints behind. she's going to explore, and see what's what. after gathering her things. there's no way she's waiting for someone in a shining model t to come swooping to her rescue.
...anyone who knows anything about medicine may also clue into what the combination of coughing + bloody hands and realize what this means. in the meantime? she'll be walking in this winter wonderland.]
