[202 would know the voice behind those ragged gasps anywhere, even without her attention being drawn to their source by the sound of rushing waters emitting unexpectedly from her communicator. Glancing down at it, she spares barely enough time to register what she's seeing--And surely she can't be seeing that, he must just be stained by the river water--before piecing together what it means, and where she needs to go. Abandoning her post at the cathedral and her communicator there with it, she runs.

It's not a long haul to the river's edge and she makes it there in record time, wading into the waters without a second thought to try and retrieve the broken remains she still can't quite believe she's seeing.]

[Vash barely registers that anyone is there. His mind is so far gone, so deeply entrenched in agony, that not even the sound of approaching feet filtering through at least one burst eardrum can bring it back.

As for his body, how it is held together is a mystery of fraying sinew and tattered skin; it's as if his healing abilities are reduced to simply trying to keep him in one mass, no matter how impossible that is.]

[It's not rocket science to determine the unfathomable degree of pain Vash must be in-- 02 has eaten peoplethings that were in better shape than he is. Now's not the time for thoughts like that, though... For now she's focused wholly on scooping him into her arms, moving gingerly despite a painfully acute awareness that there's little she could do at this point to worsen things.

Hauling them both up the bank of the river she staggers briefly to one knee thanks to the uneven footing, but recovers after a moment to doggedly resume moving towards the clinic. It's a far cry from perfect, but it will have to do.]

[What would have been painful jarring is so far below the threshold of the agony he's in that it doesn't even register. Some remaining nerve endings do register that he is being picked up and moved, telling his fractured mind that someone has come for him at last. The one eye that could even pretend to work fights to open, but at best he catches a glimpse of gold. From there it takes several long moments for the image to process and then another long stretch for it to register... Yet when it does, there is some small part of him that feels intense relief.

It's not just "someone" who has come. It is his 202... and he can finally pass out fully, falling deeply asleep for the first time in over a week. No matter how much pain he is in, the nightmare, the Hell, is finally over.]

[Reaching the clinic, 202 finds a well-stocked room in which to deposit her mangled lover before setting to work as best as she can... Basic wound care is something she knows well, and attends to quickly. Lacerations and punctures are cleaned, stabilized, sutured and dressed with clinical efficiency. Abrasions are debrided, treated, wrapped in gauze. As long as she can focus on those things, and on how grateful she is for Vash's unconsciousness, she can pretend that she can handle the situation. Before long, though, her experience runs out.

With a sigh she squares her shoulders and retrieves Vash's communicator--Her own still sitting forgotten back at the cathedral--and opens it to initiate a video.]

[Ludwig will sound hurried as he begins to speak. He just realized that there was a broadcast and the contents of it. He'd been being a dutiful 'nanny' to Lili, keeping a strict eye on her, as per his promise.]

202! Vhere are you now?? I'm coming to help you. [there was the sound of a door shutting, punctuating the statement]

How bad ees he?

[True to his word, Sieg's dashed on over as soon as he got 202's message. He skids through the door.]

202? Vash?

[202 glances up at Sieg, wide-eyed, over the edge of the communicator clutched in both of her hands as she speaks into it.]

Ludwig! He's here in the clinic with me, he's... He's bad. I've never seen somebody survive something like this before. Please hurry.

[The watch is snapped shut as she turns her attentions back to the unconscious nation at her side, then turns to meet Sieg's eyes.]

Can--Can you heal, Sieg? [Please, please say you can heal.]

Ja

[he closed his end of the communication but just at the end, one could see the scene behind him suddenly rushing. He was sprinting to her]

[The boy nods an affirmative on that as he hurries to where 202 is with the unconscious Vash. He winces once he gets a better look at the injured nation. At least he's been cleaned up a bit.]

He looks bad, 202... But I'll definitely do what I can. I'm not an expert, but I trust the Marks of the Stars to know what they're doing.

{OOC:Germany-mun has bowed out of the thread, just a heads-up!}

[202's brow creases in a small frown of confusion, but she edges aside enough to let Sieg do...Whatever it is that he's able to do.]

Marks of the Stars? ...I'm sorry, Sieg, I don't understand.

Watch.

[He manages a grim smile at her, but he believes things will work out all right. Sieg edges closer to where Vash lies, lifting up his right hand.

A light blazes in the air above them, a brilliant symbol tracing itself out before vanishing. Just as it fades, a soft glow envelopes Switzerland. Most of the visible wounds begin to fade, but naturally the more severe injuries will take a bit more.]

[202 gapes for a moment at the visible improvements, blinking in stunned silence as she watches the wounds knitting closed before her eyes.]

S...Sieg, you... How did you...

[Her voice trails, and she gives a quick toss of her bloodied head to clear her wits. Nevermind the "how" or the "what," at least for now. Confused as she might be, it's not usually in 202's nature to doubt the validity of something just because she can't understand it.]

...It's permanent, what you did? This will hold? You didn't overtax yourself, I hope...

[He takes a breath as the glow fades, looking over Switzerland as he nods.]

Yeah. 's never failed me yet. I don't know the extent of his injuries but at the very least, this should help.

[The boy gives 202 a faint grin.] I'm fine! This is only once so far and I'm used to pullin' it off in the middle of a battle anyway.

Okay Vash, let's do this again...

[Once more he lifts his hand, calling on the Mark's powers. It's the first time he's used it one right after the other, and he wonders if that's the reason for the slight "off"-ness he feels. Well, he'll worry about it later.]

[The nation relaxes a little, ragged breathing evening out a little. It's obvious Sieg's magic has done something to help him-- however, the deep injuries are still very much affecting him, as is obvious by the blood that begins to pool at the back of his throat and inhibit his breathing.]

[202's breathing eases when Vash's does, but she continues to keep almost as close an eye on Sieg as on the battered nation lying prone before them.]

I don't know how your talent works, Sieg, but people do lots of things on the battlefield that they can't replicate outside of it... Please, much as we do need the help... I'm trusting you to know your own limits.

[Not that she'd hesitate to nurse you both, of course. 202 couldn't explain the protective drive she feels for Sieg if you asked her, but it's there nonetheless and she'd rather not lose the little guy to his own helpful urges anytime soon if it can be helped.]
