[SOLDIER instincts are strong with this one. He's in motion before the feed ends, but it's going to take him a good 10 minutes to get there.]

[His voice isn't raised (it never is) but there's a not of earnestness in it. He hopes she can hear him...he hopes the situation isn't as bad as it appeared.]

[There's no answer, just scuffling and the muffled sound of growling and gnashing teeth. Vanille's voice can be heard, but it's nothing intelligible. Whether it's pained cries or sounds of effort when trying to cast her magic is unclear.

Run as fast as you can, Sephiroth. :|]

[He can run pretty fast when he tries...not to mention he tends to go over most obstacles people would go around, so he actually makes it in a little under seven minutes. The sounds of the battle could be heard half-way there. He hadn't been exactly sure where the park was, but it was easy enough to follow the sounds of thunder and the flashes of lightening. He approached the battle, the monsters surrounding what must be the girl in the middle, from the southern flank. The creatures didn't even mark his approach. Relatively unintelligent, then. He drove the masamune forward, impaling the closest, and quickly discarded the carcass and vaulted it to land near the girl. He quickly turned his back to her to face the remaining monsters.]

Don't worry [His voice was soft, but still very audible over the snarling surrounding them.] You're safe now.

[Vanille had just begun to cast another spell when Sephiroth made his flashy and totally welcomed arrival. Worse for the wear, Vanille stumbled to stand up. Lacerations decorated both arms, whether they were from teeth or claw didn't matter. Her clothes were stained with blood, both hers and the monsters. Once standing, she favored one leg slightly as she backed up against the long silver haired man. She didn't say anything as her fingers tightened around the weapon, but eventually she found her voice.]

[Vanille shrank back away from a monster as it lashed out at the pair, before she slung a spell at it and another monster nearby. Almost immediately the monsters seemed to slow down, their movements being performed in slow motion. She'd cast slow. It was easier to do now, now that she wasn't overwhelmed by so many

[Dinobot is just outside the forest. He grips his sword tightly and starts to move into the trees, slowly at first, listening intently. A conflict that fierce should be audible for some distance.]

[In addition to any scuffling, snarling noises that can be heard, there are small but brilliant flashes of light as Vanille tries her best to fight the monsters off with her Thundaga magic.

They seem to be coming from the edge of the forest....]

[This is bad. This is really bad! She doesn't know what those things were. They almost looked like they would be relatives of the heartless. But they're much more terrifying. By a landslide! It's causing her to shake. But...But-even-so! Vanille's in trouble and, well.

She's going to make a rush for the park now!]

[Somehow, Vanille can hear the girl's voice, despite the communicator being in the hands of one of the monsters. Despite getting thoroughly thrashed about at the moment, the l'cie manages to yelp. The message however, is garbled.]

Xion, stay away!

[She doesn't know what Xion is capable of, and does not want the young girl hurt.]
