I am not one for being superstitious, but I am curious would anyone care to share how they celebrate the start of a brand new year? There was a belief ,from my world-dimension, reality or what ever you wish to describe it, at the stroke of midnight people would open their back door to let the old year out and ask the first dark haired man seen to come through the front door carrying salt, coal and bread. It would mean that the following year everyone in the house will have enough to eat (bread), enough money (salt) and to be warm enough (coal).
