[The familiar bookshelves and furnishings of the library are visible behind Conan as he turns the feed on. He's got a couple of calls to make
( Read more... )
[Despite how overwhelming all the potential information is that the library holds, especially since he can't read a lot of it, Masamune's been curious about whether there were texts available that he could actually understand. He'll have to ask Lenalee about those English lessons eventually.
Oh, but here's a coincidence. Another person he's been meaning to talk to, just stepping out from the place. Brow arching, the warlord smirks faintly.]
[He glances back at Conan upon that response.] What are you saying... That we don't really vanish from our world? Or is it just the differences in time?
[Conan frowns. He doesn't know what to think -- and that bothers him.] I'm not saying anything. There's too many variables at present -- but Christine-san's got the most experience with this that I can tell. Her prime universe theory sounds good to go with at present.
You should ask Christine-san to explain it -- I'll probably get it wrong and she's from a world several centuries after mine, so this stuff is all fact to her.
But she thinks that each of us come from a different prime universe. When I came here, I separated from my prime universe -- but it continued on with me still there. The world where I'm not there isn't the prime universe anymore -- it's a separate possibility. Ran-neesan's from the same prime universe only hers continued with Conan -- that's why she doesn't know that I've been missing all this time.
[He nods slowly though, listening carefully to Conan's explanation of it. It's by far much easier to get a grasp of than what Lenalee had spoken to him about demons and Western and Middle Eastern religions, at the very least. Yet Masamune's not sure if he feels any better for knowing that potentially, he's still where he's supposed to be, somehow. It's a little hard to believe when you yourself weren't there.]
[Times like these that he feels he's in way over his head, but he'll refuse to admit it. Masamune's still convinced that the easiest way to get things over with is to confront their captors directly. Of course, it would help if they weren't hiding from them all the time. That Interloper sounded like he needed to be brought down a peg or three. ...which reminds him...]
I don't like it. Those two who brought us here make it look too easy... And they seem to know more than they're letting on.
Oh, but here's a coincidence. Another person he's been meaning to talk to, just stepping out from the place. Brow arching, the warlord smirks faintly.]
Oi, kozou.

Ah -- Date-sama. Didn't expect to see you here!

What about you? Busy as always?

Ah. Some people from home have come here so right now I'm helping them settle in!

Seems like someone else from our Edo's appeared just recently too. That Guy must be keeping busy lately too.
So how long have you been stuck here?

Someone else?
Me? Ah -- it's two months exactly today.

[And then he nods.]
Nobunaga's younger sister. [Which is strange to him because she was dead, the last time he'd seen her.]
-Two months? Naruhodo... It sounds like a long time, but now that I think about it, I've already been here about a month now...
[Has it really been that long already? Che.]

Ah. It's strange to think, isn't it? According to Ran-neechan, it's like I never came here.

This just gets more and more complicated. ...so what's this theory?

[Conan can't help but smile wryly. Date's snort pretty much sums up his own feelings on the matter.]
Exactly.

Ah. It's starting to look like the situation might be a lot more serious than I thought at first.
