[The familiar bookshelves and furnishings of the library are visible behind Conan as he turns the feed on. He's got a couple of calls to make

I've noticed that a lot of people here use magic, but it's all different. We don't have it all in my world, so I was hoping you could tell me about how it works in your world. Is that all right?
In Hyrule, every race have its own magical capabilities. Gerudo magic can be used only by pure-blooded Gerudo, unless one have given her power to someone of impure blood or it resides inside an object. Hylian magic is the most common and easy to learn, as it does not depend on an inherent magic tendency. It usually takes the form of an object rather than pure energy, except the few basic spells, those who call upon the power of the goddesses.
Another tribe, one that had been banished from Hyrule, used magic that tried to imitate the Goddesses, and took the shape of masks.
Do you wish to hear more? [So far, Ganondorf has only given him the very general descriptions, and left out all the minor races of Hyrule, but he only gave Conan harmless information. In his boredom, any interlude would be welcome.]
If every race has different magical capabilities, does that mean you all use your magic to do different things? Or are there ways of replicating something using your different methods?
[The smile comes naturally. Now that he's had time to get used to having her here, and with Hattori's arrival taking away some of the stress, it's easier to just relax and be happy in Ran's presence.]
[Wanders into the library on her way to the train station and looks around for Conan. She can hear movement in some of the farther aisles and decides to call out.]
Ah, Conan-kun? Are you here-? [Her question is cut off somewhat short with a cough. It's followed by another deep cough, and she covers her mouth momentarily until the small fit subsides.]
[Conan pokes his head out of the aisle he's in, blinking concerned -- that's a nasty cough. A cold? It's come on very suddenly -- she was fine last time they talked, wasn't she?]
[Pulling her hand away from her mouth, she gives it an odd look over before nodding slowly.] Oh, yes. I'm fine- it was probably some dust or something.
[And her smile returns.] I was just heading over to the train station, but I was wondering where I could find that man- ah...Grimoire Vincent, wasn't it?
[That's an odd gesture -- but there's no denying that old books attract dust like its going out of fashion. Conan joins Elraine, giving her a bright smile.] Let's go to the reading room. It's airier.
Grimoire Valentine -- Vincent Valentine is his son. Though maybe you should call him Professor Valentine until you meet him. His lab's in the ShinRa building, but it might be hard to visit -- ah, I should let him know you want to visit!
[Despite how overwhelming all the potential information is that the library holds, especially since he can't read a lot of it, Masamune's been curious about whether there were texts available that he could actually understand. He'll have to ask Lenalee about those English lessons eventually.
Oh, but here's a coincidence. Another person he's been meaning to talk to, just stepping out from the place. Brow arching, the warlord smirks faintly.]
