This wasn't exactly the type of reunion that Axel was looking for, but he wasn't going to say that he was too surprised. He had expected her to be pissed and he had certainly expected her to taunt and tease as she usually did. However, Axel was the last person to be intimidated by Larxene's advances...but she would always push and push and push regardless.
Sure, he knew that he was probably just a doll to her, as was everyone else, and yet, hm, to him she wasn't much different. Now, playing dolls was a different case among Nobodies because it usually involved severe manipulation. Violence. Words thrown left and right. Sometimes laughter, sometimes anger--all just a ruse to throw each other off. No heart to make it real and no heart to thoroughly enjoy it.
Therefore, Axel arrived at the bottom of the clock with nothing more than a smile and a casual demeanor because he knew that deep down...Larxene couldn't feel anything toward this fight.
