Swim Meet Results
DD had a great swim meet on Wednesday night. She placed 1st in the 100m IM, 2nd in the 50m Butterfly (her favorite stroke), and 4th in the 50m Freestyle (out of 28 11-12yr old girls.) I don't care about the relays so I normally don't report her places for them but in case you're interested: 2nd in the 200m Freestyle Relay and 3rd in the 100m Medley Relay. DD was really excited because she shaved off 2 seconds from her Butterfly and 5 seconds from her IM. You could tell that the other team had a lot of year-round swimmers because they were really good. Our team only has 3 girls that swim year round so our team is usually at a disadvantage, but we are in it for the fun of it and for DD to improve her own times. Saturday is her last meet before heading off to Europe. Her grandparents are coming to visit this weekend so they will finally get to see her swim.
