The tablet is on its deathbed.  Seriously, I tried drawing with it yesterday, and the boobs I was drawing were so squiggly and lopsided I feared my drawing might have had cancer or Morgellan's or something equally horrifying and involving growths in the mammaries

Could you buy some of that sticky-sided thin film people sometimes use in drawers or shelves? I don't know if it comes as thin as you want it to, but I think it comes in clear, and it might help?

Wow you know what? I'm going to look into that. That sounds like it might help. I'd have to see how well it works before applying it but that is probably a viable fix :O thank you!

^^ You're welcome. I understand that it's fairly cheap, so long as you don't want the patterned stuff, but I don't know if it gets more expensive the thinner you get it, so... Good luck, dear! I hope you find something to help you salvage it!

my laptop died. hence my scarceness in maple :[
so now I can really only talk to you on those rare occasions that you're on aim.
ALSO, I was going to get a tablet, a friend of mine was going to let me borrow hers, since she doesn't use it.
but the whole laptop dying kind of hinders that.

I think it just overheated to the point of the hard drive getting shot.
I turn it on and it says 'operating system not found'

That happened to me on my thinkpad but it fixed.

My hard drive was loose.
