gehry's evocative, sculptural forms have worked in most contexts: guggenheim (bilbao), dg bank (berlin), issey miyake flagship (new york city). strangely enough, the sculpted steel panels of his experience music project look strangely out of place and context in downtown seattle, next to the space needle and a drive-in macdonalds across the street ( Read more... )

hee! see, i hadn't seen this building before but i DO like it better than the library you showed in an earlier posting.

looks like we have a different aesthetic. (actually can tell from our apt renos...)

I went to Gehry's Walt Disney Concert Hall in LA one year ago which looked like the smaller version of Gehry's Guggenheim Museum. They were selling lots of memorabilia too.
