Not too shabby for a frozen pizza.

Full disclosure: I am a BzzAgent and I got coupons to try this product for free. But you know me, that doesn't mean I'm not going to be honest in my reviews.

Today's review: PIZZA.

You guys. I ♥ pizza. LOVE LOVE LOVE. Sushi is the only other food in this world I could truly live upon and not feel cheated out of life. So I'm not just some person who is all "eh" about pizza as a general rule. So free frozen pizza? Hell yeah, I'll try it.

(May not be available where you are. Check your grocer's freezer section.)

For a basic frozen pizza, these are pretty darn tasty! I tried the Spinaci (Spinach) and Funghi (mushroom) pizzas. Yes, I had two, but I split them with my husband and we were really hungry! Portion size: I didn't look at the box, but "big eaters" or very hungry people could easily polish one of the pizzas off. With a side order of salad or breadsticks or soup, one person could eat half a pizza and be satisfied. A child's serving would be 1/8 to 1/4 of the pizza. They're about the size of a Tombstone Pizza, to give you a sense of scale.

Crust: Light, flaky, thin, and a lovely texture that reminds me of Ledo's Pizza. Almost piecrust-like, but not quite. The perfect amount of crisp and chewy!

Toppings: They don't skimp on the toppings, which is fabulous! The mushrooms were fresh -- the only downside to this is that they exuded water and made the top a bit soggy. Admittedly, I threw some pepperoni on that one just for extra flavor. The spinach was pre-cooked and had the lightest layer of tomato beneath the cheese - I was especially impressed at how well it all married together. The spinach flavor wasn't too strong but it was still there, and the texture wasn't soggy or too gummy. I definitely will get these again! I got mine for $3.99 at the local Giant, which is (if I remember correctly) cheaper than Tombstone. It's going to be hard to share these coupons, because I'm tempted to use them all myself so that I can try all of the varieties! However, I will reluctantly share with anyone who knows that Dr. Oetker's pizza is definitely available in their area and will be sure to use the $1.50 off coupon. So if you're one of those people, let me know and I'll pop one in the post.
