slumdog millionaire
cast: dev patel, frieda pinto,
what imdb says: A Mumbai teen who grew up in the slums, becomes a contestant on the Indian version of "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?" He is arrested under suspicion of cheating, and while being interrogated, events from his life history are shown which explain why he knows the answers.

  1. SOOO MUCH CATCHING UP TO DO! Do you know when I actually saw this movie? I was at school. It was before finals. It was outdoors on a field at night projected on a giant screen. I'm such a trendster.
  2. I purposely wait long amounts of time to see the critically acclaimed Oscar film, especially one that doesn't appeal to me in the first place. This is so that I can not be swept up in all of it and possibly form my own opinions on the matter. Hence why I was underprepared on Oscar night for the domination that was this movie. Anyway, my opinions were formed. I didn't necessarily like this movie.
  3. It was extremely predictable and very unsubtle about it's foreshadowing. I don't like when foreshadowing attacks me. I like to have to look for foreshadowing or see it upon second viewing. This movie, not so much of that.
  4. I understand the whole plot like, oh look at all the random happenstance that allows him to know all these answers! AMAZING. But I mean, come on. All the questions happened to have stories that flowed chronologically? MIX IT UP.
  5. I understood the tribute to bollywood with Jai Ho but it really didn't fit at all. I didn't like it.
  6. Love Dev and Frieda, I think they're adorable and I would like them to be in more things that I'll actually appreciate.
