a regal spring break, get it?
i know. but at least i realize that my attempts at witty comic displays are doomed.
my mom and i went to the sunrise service at church yesterday morning, about 630. it was beautiful. i havent been to church in... well, we know its been a while, and really i think its because i left mass every sunday in anger almost always, all i derived from the sermons were bitter rantings about the demise of humanity and the apathy of even the most dutiful parishoners, the ones who cared about glorifying god, not just scratching church off the weekly checklist "how to get to heaven". we had one of the most miserable priests in all catholicism. all about religion, kind of thing. very pro bush i imagine. but we have a new minister, brilliantly faithful man. older irish priest, very similar to one who passed away a few years ago... powerful words.
on thursday, kristen and i had the most amazing confectionary sugar and chocolate fight ever. so so cool. i had handprints of various baking products across my jeans and one maybe on my face. oh yes, chocolate streaked my cheeks and white powder lined the strands of my hair. talk about maximum enjoyment in the kitchen. haha. little elephants, omg. of course this was after our explorations of several pet stores, including that fantastic redneck exotic pet shop. go snakes. lol... and we went to barnes and noble, at last, i was going through extraordinary withdrawals. lol. didnt buy anything though, this must have been the first occasion i havent fallen in love with at least two books. the next trip to the book store will be the time i break down and get a membership card, lol. i promise. i'm addicted to the aroma of starbucks and crisply just printed binding. ahh, the thrill of literary mastery.
bobby and i watched saw the other night. and then, of course, me being me, wouldnt have slept five minutes after turning it off, because we all know how easily shadows can convince me that someone is lurking behind the blinds, so he must have stayed and talked to me until about 2 or 230. all in all i enjoyed my few days off. i also rented i heart huckabees, which was very very intriguing. something preferable to me that no one else understands or appreciates. existentialism, huh? haha. its so cute to hear reactions from people who have never heard of it. or pretend to have heard of it. even better. kierke-something...oh yeah, he was that one guy. (that one guy...priceless) oh soren, how i love you. :) and today i rented the second bridget jones and alfie. bridget jones could have been better. if they cut out this block of like 15 minutes where shes arrested in thailand for smuggling drugs, and while in prison she teaches the thai women madonna songs, it may have been good. alfie was good, i thought. but i'm one of those people who love jude law, so, of course its good. jude law though, really was in everything this year. i heart huckabees-jude law. and of course, closer. closer comes out tomorrow, :). buying it.
its 630. i need to get some pictures developed. john wants me to send him some. right. lol. i'm sure he can wait to just see me. miss him. so much.
