Wow. What a whirlwind week I've had. I started my time in Germany working in an English camp for teens. That was amazing. After camp was done we went to Köln (cologne)to see the fireworks on the river. Most of the group sat on the banks of the rheine with about 2 million other people, but i went to this great little outdoor cafe in this little square about 5 blocks from the river with 3 other guys. we had a great time just talking and drinking. yesterday i went to braunfelts which was amazing. there was this great little town that was just next to the castle and i had my firt glass of german beer. I don't normally like beer, but this was good. It was made from wheat. It was also stronger than normal beer. I got a buzz off of just one glass (.5 L). So did the other three people who drank it. Here people mix all kinds of things with their beer. Cola-beer is really good and so is beer cut with lemonade. I'm so glad that I don't have to go back today with everyone else. I still have two weeks left. I'm going to Austria for 3.5 days with Walter and I'm really excited about that. I'm kind of tired so I think I'll go take a nap before I go shopping today.
