sorry this may be an old topic but i don't really care. um...this is for all you "non-christian" people who get offended when people say Merry Christmas. First and formost you kids need to realize that this nation was founded on christian values. Everywhere you look in our government there is evidence of this fact. All you children who subscribe to the Happy Holidays greeting because you don't believe that religion has a place in America need to revisit the ol' dictionary and look up the origin of the word holiday. It in fact means Holy Day. So if we are to be completely politically correct and careful not to offend anyone we would say something like "happy day that used to actually have some meaning to it but now it's not thought to be correct to be different in america" in order to not offend the atheists.
