Life's like a road that you travel on...

I realized that I haven't posted in a while, so I figured I'd update while I had some time. I've been meaning to for a week, but I just haven't gotten around to it. Life's pretty busy here so far. I'm enjoying classes so far, which is a good thing. Arabic is awesome, even if it is really hard. Poli Sci isn't bad, even if I am one of the oldest people in the class. Psych isn't as hard as I expected...yet. It could still get there, but it's pretty cool so far. My lecture professor is crazy, as is my lab professor, but I like them both. My French class is going to be really hard, but interesting. The work hasn't been unbearable so far, which is also good.

Speaking of work, I also started this week at the Victoria's Secret at the mall. The people are awesome, and the atmosphere is great, so I'm happy with that. Yesterday was my 2nd day, and it went really well. I got 2 customer comment cards saying i'm awesome, which pretty much made my day. My old store in NY didn't have those, so I was stoked to hear them. It's really fun work, even if it's exhausting sometimes.

People at school seem to be really great too. I'm so glad to have Ari and Michelle back, even if I don't get to hang out with them as much as I'd like. I missed them a LOT over the summer, and they mean so much to me, even if they don't know it. I think they might be two of the best friends I've ever had, and I pretty much owe my life to them after last year. I also love having Veronica, Emily, and Caroline around more than I did last year. They're super chill, and I'm glad I get to be with them more now that I'm not a mess. I've also been meeting other people, which is great for me. I don't get to hang out with people in general as much as I'd like since I have to concentrate on my work...it's a whole new set of priorities for me, and I'm just gonna have to get used to it. School work is priority numero uno for me this year, and NOTHING can get in the way of that if I want to graduate.

I also got a visit from my amazing boyfriend last weekend, which I haven't had a chance to post about just yet. I really do love that boy, he's so sweet! Today's our 2 month anniversary (love you babe!), which is awesome for me. I was so scared to get into a relationship at all, that this is a big deal for me. He's been so fantastic for me. I don't think I would have come as far as I did if it wasn't for his help. Anyway, I was so glad to see him last weekend. The week and a half or so between the time I came to school and last weekend were the longest we'd been away from each other since before we were even going out, so it was pretty rough. I can't wait to see him in a few weeks when I go home for the Jewish holidays...I miss him SO much!

As far as other stuff, I've been doing a bunch of work for Red Hot Blue, the best a cappella group EVER. I'll post dates of our concerts as we get them set, so maybe people can try to come see them. Our CD that we recorded at the end of last semester is ALMOST done, and it's AMAZING...we sound SO good! We got to hear it this week, since we were signing people up for auditions. We lost a lot of members last year since they were seniors, so we need a lot of new people. I hope we get a good crowd this year...I want it to be the best year ever! The group's already so kick ass, so it shouldn't be too hard.

All in all, I'm pretty stoked for this year, which is a surprise in itself. I was so scared to come back, but it all looks like it's gonna work out for the best. I definitely deserve it. After the horror that was last year, I'm going to make this one great. The things that cause me problems last year have been eliminated. People who caused issues are either gone or don't exist as far as I'm concerned, so they won't cause me anymore problems. I have worked SO hard over the summer to better the problems in my head, and I've come a LOOOOOOONG way thanks to a bunch of people, including myself. I'm glad that I'm better and I will continue to get better as the year goes on. I'm feeling good about life, and I hope I can make it stay that way. Today's plan is to go see the Yankees at Camden Yards, which is exciting...so I'm off to get ready :-) Hope everyone else is doing well too!
