1812 с Мравинским?

Наш зарубежный читатель просит о помощи:

If this is possible I need a help from you
When I left USSR , custom took from me 1812(Tchaikovsky)
recording made by Mravinsky and chorus,orchestra zkr

I tried to ask Gosteleradifund to buy it but
failed
The ask 270 USD for it.

Непонятная история. А что он, собственно, вывозил? Мастер-диск, с которого никогда не печатали тираж? Тогда таможенная пошлина реальна. А Гостелерадиофонд, насколько я понял, отказался купить запись У НЕГО (видимо, он хотел продать, чтобы не пропала просто так).
Мне неизвестны записи "1812" с Мравинским в розничной продаже. За обычный диск таможня ничего не берет.

Гораздо вероятнее, что он вывозил это давным-давно, когда таможня могла отобрать (или не выпустить) что угодно - вплоть до старых подштанников. Непонятно другое - зачем он пишет на английском, выражаться на котором не умеет. Я подозреваю, что его фраза "I tried to ask Gosteleradifund to buy it" значит, что он пытался спросить у Гостелерадиофонда, нельзя ли ему у них его купить, а вовсе не что он им хотел его продать. У человека, который пишет "a help", "custom" в смысле "customs", и который употребляет совершенно невозможное сочетание времен ("when I left... custom took..."), такое вполне возможно.

К сожалению, у меня нет нужной Вам записи, я бы, конечно, дал, если бы была.

Но совершенно независимо - послушайте, Вы же хотите, чтобы Вас понимали? Тогда пишите на том языке, на котором можно ожидать оптимального понимания. Т.е. если Вы пишете людям, худо-бедно (а в данном случае хорошо) знающим русский, пожалуйста, пишите по-русски - в любом, самом диком транслите, но не на английском, на котором, как Вы видели, Вас можно понять прямо наоборот.
К слову, я тоже native Russian speaker, и я тоже употребляю каждодневно три языка, и на двух прочих (не по-русски) преподаю, и да, делаю иногда ошибки, но по крайней мере, такие ошибки, которые никогда не приводят к неверному пониманию. В этом всё дело. Удобоваримый уровень языка - это не уровень native speaker'a, а уровень, на котором Вы точно знаете, что Вас верно поймут.

Вы видимо не в курсе, но теперь Гостелерадио выставляет такие цены (10 баксов за минуту) всем, а не только "несчастным" эмигрантам.

Hello,
I see the whole thing now. I am Russia-born but live in Germany.
I have tried several places in the Net to get the record. In vain.
From time to time I go to Munich and visit the Ludwig Beck's - perhaps the best shop for records being. If I find it I'll buy and share it; I am only afraid of their having it not, too.
Can some other record of that work be a consolation for you, at least for a while?
I can suggest e.g. Haitink with CGBW Amsterdam.
