Author’s Notes: Playing catch up! Slightly rushed and unbeta’ed. Please, concrit welcome!

The door closes behind him and I feel like my life has just ended. It takes me a moment, but I collapse onto the bed in disbelief.

Remus is gone. Gone to the werewolves on a mission for Dumbledore.

He’s left me.

Remus told me to move on. That he’s too old for me, too poor, and far too dangerous. Which is complete bollocks. Where were these…excuses when we first started dating nearly a year ago?

He told me to move on. To find a nice young man nearer to my own age that can support me and a family. Stupid prat. I don’t want a bloke my own age. They are immature boys compared to him, a real man. And I can support myself, thank you very much!

The one thing that keeps me from completely breaking down is the fact that I know he didn’t want to leave me. His mouth might have been saying one thing, but his eyes, those beautiful blue eyes that I took one look into and fell head over heels in love with, were saying something completely different.

They were telling me he didn’t really want to go underground. That he didn’t want to leave me. But his honour deemed that he did. Remus still feels that he is still indebted to Dumbledore. For his education. It’s what separates him from the other werewolves…the ferals.

And this is how he’s going to repay the Headmaster: by selling his soul to Fenrir Greyback.

It’s up to me to save him…and his soul.
