Familiar faces in unfamiliar surroundings

Watched the PBS Masterpiece Mystery adaptation of P. D. James's Death Comes to Pemberley. (For those of you who didn't know about this: It's a murder-mystery "sequel" to Pride and Prejudice.) There is nothing so disconcerting as seeing familiar faces that I cannot quite place acting in different roles. I often seen people and know I know them but can't find any details closer than something like 'kindly brother'or 'sleezy perv'. There have been instances when I have had to stop the program and look it up so that I can enjoy what I'm watching without distraction. thankgod looking up is easy these days.

Indeed. I just this minute looked Goode up on IMDb to see if he, like Rhys (and Alan Cumming, and, after a fashion, Jesse Spencer), is a Brit playing an American on American TV, and indeed he is.
