Title: Postcards From The Moon Author minnow_53 Written for: sambethe Rating: PG Summary: Five different journeys, one constant relationship. AN: Various POVs Thank you: To astra_argentea for reading through.
What a lovely little fic this is! I like how you've sketched a few moments from the different eras of their lives, and the way the mood is different each time to reflect their circumstances. I think my favorite one was the one where they buy the car, although I also loved this moment:
When Sirius looks out to try and discern some scenery, he can see only his face reflected back at him. Remus reflected beside him looks pale and drawn, as he so often does: but, as always, Sirius finds him beautiful.
And the sentence about Remus dreaming on their way to Seville was gorgeous.
Perhaps, for once, I can say that I envy you. This was my reaction to the first part only. Why didn’t I write this, or rather why didn’t my Remus experience this? I’d have had just the right memories of busses and tents in Spain. But he had to get there only in 1987 (approximately at the same time with me) and alone
( ... )
Oh, thank you very much for such a lovely comment! ♥ I put a note about POVs at the top, because they were uncompromising and I wanted to avoid as much confusion as possible! :D Though you notice Remus wangled two, which was a bit unfair.
Yes, I thought I'd said everything, but the prompt really inspired me, and this can be like a PS. Or something! I'll probably soldier on, as one does...
Oh, such a beautiful story! Great work, it's lovely! I really loved how you made them interact, it seemed to... right, and natural. The last bit had me terribly sad, but it was still a completely lovely way to end it. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you very, very much! :) I liked to project (mentally) a tiny bit beyond the last one and imagine that at some point they'd journey together behind the veil, with clouds and angels. :( One day.
