this is so perfectly canon it isn't even funny. it's like you took the canon story and made it fully real. it's what rowling should have done if she'd had the time.
the things you mentioned seemed so perfectly 'right.' for example, sirius's time in azkaban was described absolutely perfectly. it was the same for remus and the dissolvement of the order of the phoenix: The Order of the Phoenix dissolved so neatly and so quickly after Voldemort disappeared that it was almost like it had never existed at all. In the short period following Voldemort’s downfall, when dusk to dawn parties of celebration came into fashion, the Order did not get together for a dinner party, and there was not even the half-hearted suggestion of drinks. Even before the Longbottoms were attacked there was an awkwardness that passed between certain Order members when they happened to meet. Old habits had been restored and after the blood and fury of the war wizards went rushing back to the comfort of their families and jobs. Mundungus Fletcher, who had passed

Yeesh, every time I read about Sirius in Azkaban I remember how hard it must have been for him, how grey and black and terrible. I like how you included how he stayed sane - I loved him getting something out of speaking to Ministry officials in a perfectly sane way - and I also like how you included how Remus chose to remember his friends, however painful.
I love the flow of your descriptions. It made their pain so real along with the other little realities -like Remus not feeling guilty for spending his money as he knows it will be replaced!
