The Daily Snitch Rec Collection Post

As many of you know the daily_snitch  is a community that posts recommendations for outstanding HP works of fanfiction and fanart. It is a fine site and a truly excellent way to get the word out about rs_games. The Snitch posts links to works that have been recommended three times anywhere on LJ (other than in newsletters), and we would like to assist them in getting

So... If we lovable, talkative, hyperactive, and rather manic lot at Team AU rec something, do we let our Captains know? Or post it here? I'm confuse-ed! (Not that it's not difficult to do...)

What usually happens is that everyone who rec's something links it here, and we collect them and send them on. You can look at last year's post as an example, but generally people say stuff like, "I rec'd "Story A" and "Story B" here: (gives link) and we make a note of it. After three rec's for the same work we post a note saying, "Story B was sent to the Daily Snitch on Oct. X."

What you might want to do is watch this post (which will be linked in the side bar), count the number of rec's per Team AU fic, and then send them in yourself. Pica said she would help out with Team Canon before she leaves and then we can take it from there.

The only difference for you guys is that you can make rec's yourself and we can't, so you might be able to rec faster. In other words, if two people rec something and one of you guys does, you can go ahead and send it to the daily_snitch. Please just make a note of it here.

By the way, the reason we are collecting here and not on the team communities is that people like the fantastic werewolfsfan as well as former

If you need me to do stuff, I am a great procrastinator. No, really! I was supposed to be packing yesterday, and instead ended up writing two more chapters of a new fic.... But yeah...should probably be doing that packing thing. Me and the cat are heading out on the 10th.

Sweet. You can see the above comment to the AU Captains if you want to and help out but, basically, as people rec stories (on their own journals, etc.), they link them here and we count them. After three recs we send them in to: dailysnitch@gmail.com and then make a note of it here.

No pressure, though. The Mods would be happy to take care of Team Canon for you since you are in the middle of a big move. Believe me, I just did it last Spring and, as someone whose U-Haul broke down on a mountain pass at 11,500 feet above sea level in the middle of nowhere, I totally know how stressful moving across the country can me.

Oh, and if you decide to go through the EXTREME southern route and pass through NM (I'm 3 hours south of Denver), you always have a place to stay!

Thanks. That would be a wee bit out of my way, though. I'm going to be going through SD and then MT (I was born there and love a chance to visit). My truck is getting a thorough checkup on Tuesday, and my remaining possessions should all fit in the back of it (I have a shell on it) or in my cartop carrier. My darling little purple Ranger has never failed me yet, so hopefully this will be a trip with minimal stress and drama. But yeah, the Rockies are my biggest concern. Hopefully the weight of all my hundreds of books will keep me from slipping if it gets icy.
