AAAAHHHEEE!!!!Such a wonderful perspective of things and change of canon!!I loved your Remus,he was still Remus but not so tragic and really quite sweet!!Peter too,I liked how you wrote him!In another world James and Sirius would have been friends, yeah,I liked that bit. I just can't get over this fic,I'm rereading it right now, okay? It's just so so sooooo good and completely made me happy!!

This story was so very very clever. All the characters are still themselves but with a perfect variation - what Remus would be like if he was not a werewolf (still loving chocolate, the ultimate romantic gift), what Sirius would be like if he was a werewolf (still himself but with weariness and pain), what James would be like without Sirius' influences that edged him on, what Peter would be like when closer to two other friends and especially James (loved devil on his shoulder line) and even what Snape would be like ( still despised but having a study friend in Remus and not an enemy of James since Sirius was the one who started that emnity. And yet still resentful and petty and very himself).

I also liked Remus' relationship with his parents and the undercurrents about his Dad.

And of course, I loved the perfect kissing scene that made me weak in the knees - just so beautifully written and tugging at my heart.

This story will go to my bookmarks because even though I just finished reading it, I already want to reread it again and ( ... )

gah! this was just beautifully written. i really love the way you used intentional, gorgeous repetition (summer stretching out, remus's daddy killing a werewolf) to really emphasize a point. it made it read like poetry.

i have never read a story with a reversal like this and i am impressed and in love with it. i just read bearshorty's comment and i have to concur. these characters are, indeed, a perfect combination of themselves and variations on themselves. she said it better than i ever could, though.

i also loved the idea of remus's parents here. especially how his daddy went all atticus finch on the werewolf. i always loved that scene in to kill a mockingbird but what i especially loved about his parents is that they were what i always wished sirius's parents to be, loving and kind and brave and thoughtful.

great story!

also, thank you, mods, for a 'happy day.'

Oh, how wonderful - I love this AU! I totally believe this as what Remus would be like if he hadn't been bitten (but had been exposed to an awareness of werewolves very young) and what Sirius would be like if he were the one to become a werewolf and face that prejudice (and to still split with his family, but with that split taking such a different form). Very thought-provoking, very lovely!

Oh wasn't this just a lovely twist of the story. Remus, still so careful, but a little more free, a little more sure of himself. Sirius, still so brash, if maybe a little more cautious of when to let it out. I loved how very much them they still were, despite the roll reversal going on. What a clever turn. Just a truly enjoyable read.
