I had my first major pain day of the year today - 8 on the scale this morning, tapering down to about 5 or 6 for most of the rest of the day.

Jack is very into superheroes right now. He and Max are playing Lego Batman. I have to write more about that on Jack's blog...  

I almost titled this post "People who don't want a public option are stupid." But they're not. As far as I can tell, none of them have ever been really ill, or suffered from a disability. I'm angry, so that makes me want to say mean things. I don't really believe they're stupid. I just don't think that they understand.

OK, so, here's the condensed version of the exposition: In February, I changed doctors. He recommended a new drug - the only FDA-approved drug for neuropathy (nerve pain). Blue Cross denied it and denied it and finally, after many hours on the phone, and faxing over 39 pages of medical records, they approved it.
