**Spoilers for 1.22 Journey** madndizzee June 10 2010, 12:10:37 UTC

Rachel and Quinn are not together. Shelby Corcoran has a car accident and dies, leaving guardianship of Beth to both Rachel and Quinn. They have to learn to get along and work together for the sake of traumatised Beth, who was in the car and witnessed her mother's death. By now, they have both established themselves in New York. Rachel is, of course, a Broadway star and I'm thinking Quinn would be an awesome pediatrician. They have to work out how to combine their households or move to a new place big enough for them all. Whether they tell Beth that Quinn is her biological mom is up to the writer.

These details can be flexible, I'm not too fussed. :P But, lots of angst and tension before they get together would be much appreciated!

Bonus points for a scene where Rachel tries to explain how/why she is dating her sister's biological mom.

Beth's age is up to the writer. I originally thought Beth could be 9, but 25 is too young for R/Q to be established. So I guess Beth could be a teen.

I am certainly hoping for something epic. :D

i kinda messed up reading the prompt, and realized it when i was halfway done with the fic. :p
