(no subject)
I couldn't believe I just laid the whole story out there for both Buffy and Craig. This wasn't going to put his mind at ease about Julie being a slayer. There was nothing I could do about it now. I just needed to et to Angelina and check on her. Since she wasn't living with the rest of the girls we needed to keep an eye on her.
I thanked Craig for all his hospitality and gave him our numbers then he gave us his. I smiled and cleaned up our mess. I felt bad for just leaving a dish for him to wash so I immediatly walked to the sink and rinsed off my plate and placed it in the dishwasher. All those years of fending for myself and not liking doing loads of dishes paid off.
I took a moment to thank Craig one more time and led Buffy out of the house. The media tried to get answers from us wanting details. The predominant question was "Can you explain the oddities surrounding the death of Jack St James?" I was so tempted to shift all of them into an alternate dimension after that question, but Tara would be none too pleased so I refrained. Instead I just smiled and responded with a standard "No comment" that always works...in theory anyways.
Once we managed to get through the fray I unlocked the car for Buffy and we both quickly climbed in. I knew that it was going to be worse at the manor so I tried to prepare Buffy for that. I knew that one of them pissed her off she would feel a need to take her frustrations out on them so I spent the drive convincing her not to let them get to her. I don't know how well that worked, but hey what can I say other then I tried.
We finally got to the manor, you would think that reporters would atleast attempt to have original questions, but no...they all ask the same things. I finally managed to get past them and knocked furiously on the door. When it opened a gorgeous brunette was there...I knew that she wasn't Piper not that Piper isn't gorgeous its just...well she looks differnt then this woman. I took a risk in guessing it was Angelina. she smiled and nodded and I introduced myself. I had seen her at Julie's court date, but didn't get a chance to talk to her.
She led us into the house and after a few moments of uncomfortable silence she finally spoke up.
"Did you guys need something?"
I smiled and responded to her.
"We are here to see how you are and to see if we could be of help in anyway."
