Oliver brought Lisa a glass of the punch he had made and set it on the coffee table for her before taking a seat on the couch. He grinned at her, thinking about tomorrow and the present he was going to pick up for her in the morning. Francie barked at Lisa happily before flopping onto her back, her head in Lisa's lap, and sighed in a content manner, exposing her belly to be rubbed.

"I'm excited," Oliver said with a grin. "I've never wanted tae show off an apartment before, but I'm verra proud of all we've done here. I can't wait for Harry and George tae see, even if they will tease me something awful, I'm sure."

She rubbed Francie's belly and listened to Oliver. She did love Francie, very much, even when she stunk up the room. She leaned down and hugged Francie before letting go. She got up and sat down next to Oliver on the sofa, hugging him and watching Francie on the floor. She patted the sofa and invited her up there with them.

"Do you think people are going to show up?" she asked quietly. She looked over at him, looking almost worried. "I mean, I really don't have loads of friends to invite."

"Harry said he's coming for certain, and that's a mutual friend," Oliver said with a smile, leaning over and kissing her gently. "And Georgie, at some point. I'd be glad with jus' tha - or even jus' you, ye ken." He smiled at her and wrapped his arm around her shoulders.

"I invited Jessica," she began, thinking to herself. She smiled softly, but there was a hint of sadness in there. "I think she still thinks she's 'on trial'. She'll probably drop me the instant she learns that her job is permanent."

Oliver snorted derisively and kissed her cheek. "I'm sure that she'll stop by because she likes ye as a friend. She seemed a verra sweet girl," Oliver said sincerely. "And, I happen tae think yer a lovely person."

She shrugged a little and looked away to pet Francie slowly. "Maybe. But she could just be pretending to be nice to me because I'm her boss." She scratched Francie's belly lightly. "I will be twenty-seven tomorrow, Ollie. She's not even twenty, I don't think. I'm old."

"Och, and wha' am I? Ancient and decrepit?" Oliver asked teasingly. "Nae, I dinna think she's pretendin'. And ye're no old. Ollivander is old - my Aunt Evelyn is old. Ye're reachin' the prime of yer life."

She realized what she said to him and looked over at him, feeling bad. "No, no I didn't mean it, I forgot you were even older than me. I'm sorry." She looked away, back to Francie. She leaned down and hugged Francie, laying her head over her small chest for a moment.

Oliver just laughed slight and smoothed his hand down and over Lisa's back. "It's alright, I'll forgive you. It's probably jus' yer old age creepin' up and ye and makin' ye forget."

She pouted at him and let her eyes get all squinty. "If you're trying to make me feel better," she muttered stubbornly. "You're doing a bloody terrible job of it."

Oliver just grinned and leaned over to give her a kiss. "Yer the one who called me older," he said with a soft smirk. "Besides, ye ken I'll still love ye when yer sixty-four." He wondered if she knew the reference. His mum had loved the Beatles and his Gram had given him the old records when he was fifteen. He needed to get them from Gram's now that he had the record player of Lisa's.

She smiled a little and looked back down at Francie, ignoring the thought of what they must have done to still be with one another when she was sixty-four. "Men don't understand, do they?" she asked. She kissed Francie's head. "Men aren't the same with age. They don't seem to care so much when they start to look wrinkly and their hair begins to turn grey- and things start going south that should be better left unmentioned." She shook her head. "My father thinks I'll age gracefully, but I think he's just telling me that."

"Most witches and wizards age reasonably well," Oliver said with a smile. "I mean, look at Gram and Aunt Evelyn!" He grinned and tightened the arm he had around her shoulder and placed a kiss on her cheek. He waggled his eyebrows at her a bit before leaning back with a sigh. "Ye didn' invite anyone other than Jessica?" Oliver asked softly, gazing up at the ceiling.

She had leaned over and was kissing him softly, getting ready to shake her head and tell him no. She remembered, though, that she did invite someone else. She pulled back and kissed him again, hugging him softly. "I did invite one other person. His name is Eric." She kissed him again, longer this time. She was dead. She hadn't thought that it would be a big deal, but what if Oliver got the wrong idea?

"Who?" Oliver queried in a muffled manner, pulling back half-heartedly from the kiss, raising a brow in question. Eric? He searched his mind, wondering who Eric was and had she mentioned him before, and if so, how would he smooth over his obviously forgetting a friend of hers. He didn't think it was family - she didn't have any siblings. A cousin? Maybe. Uncle? No, he was sure she'd have mentioned any of those - and besides, they'd decided this housewarming was for friends only, otherwise Jamie would have been invited.

"He's one of the new people in a different department. I can't remember what he does. I haven't known him very long, but he was standing there when I invited Jessica and happened to overhear. You know how that goes. He said he might stop by, but he has a dinner to go to with his department." She kissed him again, pulling back. "He's really very nice, you might like him."
