Just some general advice please.

Don't stick to math references that he makes in the games. Be creative, invent your own. This can be hard if you're not a math whiz yourself, but it works wonders for making him fun to read.

- He's deeply self-absorbed and egomaniacal, but that doesn't mean he'd do well without other people's attention. In nearly every conversation in canon, he deliberately tries to aggravate whoever he's talking to, or somehow demand reactions from them.
- He likes to piss people off with faked flirtiness or sarcastic intimacy (in the Japanese, he calls Kitaniji "Megumi-chan." And abuses tildes to no end. I don't believe much of this was carried over in the otherwise excellent translation.)
- He likes to be important in other people's eyes. He's a constant attention-seeker, though he doesn't care whether it's admiration, fear, or hatred. He'd hate being the target of compassion, pity or affection, though. (...That's garbage. Crunch!)
- The first person's advice is sound - Sho's mathematical knowledge is enough that he should be making new references and math puns. However, he shouldn't abandon his catchphrases! Just not rely on them wholly.
Good luck!

I'm completely serious. I've seen it done before and it's not pretty.

He needs to have a certain amount of unpredictability/crazy. While he may have his goals, the methods he uses to reach them are often illogical in other peoples' eyes. To the average, even with the mathspeak, he still needs to have a certain amount of bizzareness. Eventually characters are going to be able to look past the maths, but they'll still need the 'what the hell is this guy on?' kind of feeling.
On that note, give Sho an actual goal. Think about why he wanted to be Composer. ( ... )
