A FEW SMALL RULES
- You may comment anonymously or signed in.
- When commenting, place the character's name and series in the subject.
- Try not to duplicate names. Multiple people could be looking into the same character. But if it's necessary (different universes, points in canon,

-Despite what fandom might lead you to believe, Kakashi is NOT a pervert. He would never pass sexual comments around or do any kind of leering over the pages of his book or bad flirting. He isn't Jiraiya. That whole area is one Kakashi is very conservative in. Remember how embarrassed and awkward he was when he had to read a few lines aloud from his book for the decoding team. Sexual stuff makes him uncomfortable. He's cool and laid back, sure, but not in ALL areas.
-Don't do the "I LOST MY PORNZ!!!" bit. It's old.
-On the subject of Icha Icha, he seems to use the book as a kind of "buffer" when he's around people. It makes him come across as distant and maybe uncomfortable with getting too emotionally invested in other people. Also, when the book is out and someone is talking to him, he tends to stare at the book rather than look at the person (at least for a little while). It might frustrate other characters, but that's kinda the point. It has always been my opinion that he uses the book for other purposes rather than just reading.
-He's a much better listener than a talker (though sometimes he might not look like he's listening when someone is talking to him in person). When he talks it's usually not long and verbose unless he's specifically describing something to someone or instructing someone. He can be blunt in a way that might seem rude when giving someone the honest truth. He's also not likely to give voice to his own emotions or outwardly display them very often, but he certainly does have them. He just keeps them in check and hidden.
-With pairings, don't try to rush or force anything. Kakashi isn't comfortable with getting close to other people and it would probably take a long, long time before he'd even consider getting intimate with someone. I strongly suggest not pairing him with enemies, students, or characters who are student-aged or younger. (You'd be better pulling off those types of OTPs in AU settings if it's what you really want.)
-General relationships with students/friends: he does like to remain sort of emotionally distant even from them, but he'll do or say the occasional little thing that shows he cares. He might put a hand on their shoulder or give them a smile (a genuine smile). He's also the type to keep an eye on people he cares about (possibly without their knowing) and check in with them from time to time.
-Minor characters? Hmm, I'd say just keep it polite and Shinobi-businesslike. Maybe find opportunities in plot for him to get closer to them and build stronger relationships. If we're talking about the Rookie 9 members, he would probably see similarities in the other students that mirror those of his own (former)students. Ex: Shino and Neji are a little like Sasuke; Kiba is a little like Naruto; Ino is a bit like Sakura at times; etc.
That's all I can think of for now. I hope you were able to find something useful. Good luck!
