Productive Ramblings

I wasn't going to write a journal entry since I just had too much to worry about lately and a lot of it is coming from livejournal, I think. But my mother cursed me this morning by asking me to be productive today. Naturally, as a result, I can't seem to get anything done. So, I'm back in front of the computer, wondering what I can find to do that will make me useful and provide some enjoyment for myself.

I tried working on the fairy dolls, but I found out with the new thicker wire I have, I'll need to use a larger bead and I just don't have any right off hand. And then I was trying to design a hair style on one, but I was unsatisfied with the current hair colors I have so I'll have to wait until I can get some more for that.

Last week, Beth (jupiter_box) and I went to McDonald's. They had Kim Possible toys and the lady at the drive threw said it was Ron. Since I adore Ron in the series (something about dorky guys with a good sense of humor), I ordered a happy meal. I didn't get around to giving the toy a closer look until a few nights ago when I ran across it again. The toys is very suggestive, I think. You load is over-sized gun, push a button on his back, and the gun fires and his pants fall off, revealing blue poka-dotted boxers. I felt quite perverted when I showed him off to Beth on Tuesday, but I find it too adorably funny to be disturbed by it.

Yesterday I saw a big spider outside of the door and I decided to take offensive action, which is not something I normally do. At first, I tried spraying it with a spray bottle (while holding the dog back from going outside with my foot), but that did not work. Then I grabbed one of my mother's books and gave it a couple of smacks. That did the trick. I went to go clean the book up and noticed that it was John Grisham's A Time To Kill. On the risk of sounding a little too much like Alanis Morissette, but I thought that was a bit ironic.

Speaking of which, does Morissette use the correct definition of the word during her song? I once heard somewhere that she didn't, but I've never been able to find a definite second source.

I received The Fantasia Anthology in the mail today. Just reading the features on the back of the package, I know I'm going to something to keep me interested for a few days. I could watch that now, I suppose, but I've spent too much time recently in the company of DVDs.

Oh, and I watched Down With Love yesterday. I really enjoyed it. At many points I despised Ewan McGregor's character, other times I became sick of Renee Zellweger character's, and the twist that was supposed to play as humorous annoyed me like finger nails on a chalkboard. That being said, though, I adored the film. It is so cute and colorful. I loved the dialogue, the costumes, the humor, and David Hyde Pierce was a neurotic delight. I want to see more and better films like it made today.

The Flying Nun annoys me. I enjoyed Gidget much more. I watch The Flying Nun and feel depressed that the very young and perky Gidget would become a nun at the age of 16. And the nun litters.

I had a new icon that I made the other day to upload and show off, but livejournal doesn't seem to want me to add any more pictures to my collection at the moment. Oh well, something more for late, I suppose.

If it is possible, I think I have run out of things to ramble on about. My cat needs feeding. That will count as productive, right? Well, I bet it would count in court anyway.
