Shorey great full international call up!!!
After a fantastic performance last night in the England 'B' game, Shorey has been named in McClaren's team for the games against Brazil and Estonia over the next couple of weeks!!!!!! I was watching the team beinging announced earlier and nearly jumped out of my seat when i saw Shorey's name come up on screen!!!
He had a great game last night and showed everyone what he can do - he even had a hand in the first goal!!!! When he came out of the tunnel, it was a proud moment for not only him and his family, but everyone associated with Reading FC - you did us proud Nicky!!!
Heres what Shorey had to say (from readingfc.co.uk)
"I'm just delighted, I can't really believe it!It will probably only be when we meet up and I start training with the lads that it will sink it".
talking about the timing of the games and his wedding:
"I should be alright! We'll have the Brazil game on the Friday and then hopefully some time off so i can get married before we go out to Estoina. I spoke to Steve McClaren and he said we will work around it. And it's not a problem for my finacee Emily either! - she's just delighted that im in the squad! So i've been quite fortunate with the timing becasue if the game had been on the saturday, it wuold have been abit tricky!"
And ontop of all that first Shorey has got to get through his stag party tonight :lol:, which he reckons will be a quiet affair!
"Its going to be alot quieter than it otherwise might have been! I'll just meet up with the lads and have a bite to eat, and then go home and leave them to it".
So looks like its going to be a busy new couple of weeks for Shorey, but im sure he wont forget them in a hurry!! WELL DONE NICKY - you deserve it!!!!
