i brought my Office calender into work today. It is so hilarious. January has a picture of Dwight holding his

sign with a post-it note that says "two paintball lessons with someone as experienced as I am is worth easily like 2 grand". i am going to put it up today, but i hope my coworkers don't think i'm a big nerd. i especially hope they don't make fun of me for always having it on April. that is jim's month and there is a HUGE picture of him on it. that is not something i mind looking at for the entirety of 2007.
so yesterday was pretty effing nice. TSM woke up after 11 as predicted and we made breakfast and then football came on the tv which was my sign to leave the apartment. but of course i was tired, so i laid down for a quick nap (yes, napping at noon. you know you're old when...) and then went out to do some christmas shopping. i was semi-successful. if anything, i was just able to get some more ideas of what i want to get certain people. had leftovers for dinner, cleaned up my krafty korner (which is really more like krappy korner), and then wrote out my Christmas cards! one of my favourite rituals, but was sad to realize i had no Christmas music to accompany me. i settled on the Bridget Jones soundtrack. it is kind of Christmasy? well not really. then to further the Brit-inspired Christmas, "love actually" was on the tv. LOVE "love actually". it so heart-warming and cheesy, i am all over it. and the scene with the guy with the stereo playing the christmas music with the signs proclaiming his love for keira knightly...damn. does romance like that really exist in the world? (side note: it's really a shame that keira knightly is not more attractive. i really feel sorry for her and her ugliness.)
today is steady with work. the weather is disturbingly warm! this will change come friday, but i am just going with it. usually i hate november but this one isn't so bad.
tonight is all about:
- making either lemon ginger loaf OR ginger spice cookies. i've got some crystallized ginger and i'm not afraid to use it.
- finishing Crow Lake. so close to the end!
- watching Studio 60.
it is an exasperating life.
