stranger than choxie

this morning i had to drive into work because i had to run some errands. it amuses and depresses me that it takes the same amount of time to drive to work as it does to take the subway, and that a 7 minute drive becomes a 25 minute drive when it occurs at 8:15 on a weekday morning.

i had to drop off a postage meter at this weird industrial park north of the city. i go into the office and this woman comes up to me and shakes my hand and says that sonja will be with me in a minute. then another person scrambles to get me a chair while i wait. i was like "um, i'm just here to drop off a postage meter". they weren't expecting me or anything. they actually thought i was there for a job interview. then some guy is like "do you want the job?". ha.

i dropped my car off back at the apartment and was able to spend about 10 minutes with TSM, who i didn't see at all yesterday. he saw Stranger Than Fiction last night and said that Maggie Gyllenhaal's character is like my carbon copy. i have never had a movie alter ego before, so i am anxious to see what her character is like. he said i would love this movie because it's all about literature, love, and baking. sounds good to me.

i am relieved to be back in the office knowing i don't have to drive home. i effing hate toronto traffic during the week. my stomach jumped at least 2 or 3 times and i got honked at twice. it is nice to have that task over and done with.

i have yoga tonight, but i am thinking of skipping. as i am hosting the bolsheviks, i do not feel like putting on spandex pants and bending my body in unnatural ways, y'know? i'd rather finish up my dishcloths and maybe even start some Christmas wrapping. or maybe i would just rather sit on the couch and eat some choxie.

lastly, i just wanted to note that today is the first day i have noticed more male attention than usual. i am entirely attributing this to my white winter coat. oww!

yoga, movies, work
