You might want to replace the plastic mesh with some 1" - 2" elastic :3 Much more durable and still has a pretty comfortable fit.

Thanks, G! I'll give it a shot. It shouldn't disturb the piece of mesh that the jaw attaches to, and hold tighter to my head with elastic.

Yea. Mesh is really fragile stuff, unfortunately :( At the very least the elastic will keep it good for the next con or two :)

Heh! Thanks again for this advice! When I suited up at FWA, that plastic mesh band broke off completely. Luckily, there was the elastic band sewed adjacent and crossing the other elastic band. This saved my bacon!

From suiting at the con, a threaded knot tore up my chin pretty good. I gotta glue on some foam or cloth to soften the area. I just hope I didn't give myself a scar.

i remember when i had bowled in suit. my two handed technique actually worked and beat a friend who bowled for a living ^^;

I had a great time there myself, and it was great seeing Hossifer again. Enjoyed meeting and conversing with you. Sorry to hear about the mesh damage, but glad you were able to continue through the night anyway, you really added to the fun at the bowling meet. I've got some pics that I put up from the event on my LJ. Have been looking around for other's pics and/or videos but have not found any yet.
