Fursuited at a local Bowling furmeet!
I had a great time fursuiting at last night's Furry Bowling Meet last night hosted by jpsqueetis . The location was local and convenient for me to get to, and it probably had upwards of 25 attendees with seven fursuiters!! It's definitely a lot more fun to wear Hossifer when other suiters are around. :) This was the same location that Vitani/Clementine ran, even though she didn't know this one was taking place.
I put on the Hossifer muscle padding and fursuit, leaving the feet at home because I'd have to wear bowling shoes on the lane. I put on a oversized raincoat over the suit and walked in to scope the location out first. Luckily, it was full of local furries! Lots of folks that I didn't meet before. In fact, people drove in from New York and New Jersey to be a part of it. I didn't mind that I bowled so badly.
I hurriedly changed in a stall in the men's room, accidentally cracking the plastic mesh strap that supported the head to the back of my head, so the eyeholes wound up a good three inches too far forward and I was mostly disoriented and blind for most of the night. I posed for lots of pictures from furries and kids, but I couldn't see well enough to be really social. Some yarn and hot glue should be able to repair the damage in time for my trip to FWA Thursday.
I got to hang out with some talented suiters like Vin, NJ's hilarious CooperTom, dancing competition star V, and some other suiters I didn't know. The blue lighting and black lights lit up my Hotch badge but only certain white parts of my suit. The loud hip-hop music only added to my disorientation. Zero, Cray, LeoStarr, Zephyr, LupineFox, SkippyFox, Jak, Volt, Rudo, Leb, Tsuneko and other furs I can't remember. But it was a nice crowd! I played two games and the event lasted from 9-11:30pm.
