Writer director Anders Thomas Jensen chooses the colors carefully and applies them deliberately in his stylized dark comedy about heaven's battle for a man's soul. Adam, a neo-nazi just released from prison, must reside at a rehabilitation half-way house affiliated with a church. He joins a small group of other struggling men under the guidance of Ivan, a priest who could drive anyone crazy with his unfailing optimism and faith in God. Refreshingly, Jensen takes dark humor exactly where dark humor needs to be - nazis, middle eastern terrorists, retarded children. But nowhere does he cross the line into unnecessary or meaningless - ultimately the film is uplifting and beautiful.
A personal recommendation - watch "Adam's Apples" in one sitting to the end. Otherwise, you risk going to sleep extremely distrubed. Русское название: Адамовы Яблоки.
