Arranged (2007) - USA
Rochel and Nasira are both smart, young, beautiful, and kind. They both live in traditional religious families, both work in a New York City public school, and both want the same thing - a happy marriage. But are they a little too modern or too sophisticated to have their marriages arranged the same way their parents' were? The young women find understanding and consolation with each other, as pressures from families mount and the secular world offers few answers. Anyone pining for love but unwilling to settle will find inspiration and joy in this film. The actors come to life in the delicate framework of this thoughtful script.
