Finally tangled!

And after many days, I finally saw Tangled too 8D

I admit I was mad at Disney for using fake manly trailers to market this movie...but how can you stay mad at them, really, after all the awesomeness?
The trailers don't even seem so fake, if you think about it...Flynn *is* the narrator, after all, and until he met Rapunzel he was so busy maintaining his manly, swashbuckling facade ..you can image him creating the trailer cut-and-pasting scenes from the movie to show how awesome he is XD
Rapunzel: *pokes in* Why there's never my name in this trailer?
Flynn: Trust me, my manly smile will save this movie 8D
Rapunzel:...suuure... *hits with frying pan*

Trailers or not trailers, you never forget once that Rapunzel is the main character...sweet, funny, resourceful, strong but also naive, sensitive, sort of repressed by her mother, and at times simply crazy (the scene where she shouts "This is the best day EVER" then sulks in a corner the next minute is PRICELESS. Flynn's reaction is priceless too XD)
In short, a well rounded character, who accidentally is a princess, so I don't get why so many people complain about the princess thing.

And after this movie, I finally have a "Favourite Thief Prince": Flynn Rider (well he marries Rapunzel so he *is* a prince, right?).
I have never been interested in Disney princes before (most of them have not much screen time, or I find them annoying *cough*Alladin*cough*).
But Flynn is just...well, so sweet. His warm, resigned look to Rapunzel when he thinks they are both going to die, the way he brushes Rapunzel's hair in the lantern scene, the way he hugs Rapunzel when he is revived...should I continue?
Contrary to the trailer, he is one of the least "macho" Disney character and never fears to show true affection ^_^
He is also funny as hell, and the Thief is always better than the Knight in Shining Armor ^_^

But the thing that totally makes the movie is the quality of animation. I have always considered 3D animated movies inferior, because they could perfectly portray one billion of hair on the fur of the mouse protagonist, but they weren't able to show characters' emotions as well as 2D animated movies.
With Tangled you sometimes forget you are watching a 3D movie, because the characters have such realistic expressions (Flynn seems a bit off sometimes, but still...)
I can't wait to buy the dvd (or BluRay...if I ever get a Bluray player) and make some HD screencaps :D

The only things that I didn't like about this movie: it felt too short, and the ending was...meh. It is the typical ending that makes me and my sister exclaim "they run out of money" XD.
I'm happy that they didn't marry right after the reunion with her parents (finally a couple that knows each other for years before marrying), but...the horse head of the palace guards? Flynn's new outfit who is just a palette swap of the previous one? THE OLD MAN IN A CUPID SUIT?

...ok...I'm five years old...I wanted to see the wedding ç___ç

I read on a Disney forums that there are rumors about a future Rapunzel animated season, like they did with Alladin and the Little Mermaid...that's what I thought too while seeing the movie, these two are so funny they could have many wacky adventures together like in Alladin XD
