This weekend I went to the Lucca Comic convention and returned with a bunch of new mangas...or should I say old mangas?
I found the reprints of both Sailor Moon and Versailles no Bara ^__^
Did you know Naoko Takeuchi has finally unfreezed her licenses? That means reprints of the manga, the anime on television again with dvd quality (at least in Europe ^^) new gadgets and a NEW VIDEOGAME for this Christmas (now I know what to buy for my friends!).
I had a unhealty obsession real passion for Sailor Moon when I was a kid, but I only owned 3-4 comics of the old translation (and they were from the second season of the anime), so reading the manga from the start on the train back home was pleasant.
Oh my, Mamoru! He is sooo much better in the manga! He was my first anime crush, but even when I was a little child I could notice his character assassination in the last three and a half seasons...
He can also be cute *__*
I also found this reprint of Versailles no Bara. It was terribly expensive (8 euro for a tankobon!) but it was worth the money...at the end of every tankobon there is an interview with the author and historical notes on all the events told in the manga (most of the scenes featuring Madame du Barry, Jean Valois de la Motte and Marie Antoinette really happenened)
Ah, if you don't know Versailles no Bara, watch the anime...it's the funniest way to learn French history XD
