The last few weeks have been slow and uneventful. Things have fallen into a balance, one that's growing less and less uneasy by the day.
A few important things to note:
- Goblins continue to dive the bottom of the harbor. They've started selling things they find in the marketplace.
- Humans are increasingly rare in Jhelbor. They're a little cagey, but if pressed, people probably get the general impression that humans aren't all that enthusiastic about worldwalkers and about interspecies cooperation. They just want to be left alone.
- Demons seem increasingly fragmented. River Royal's army is still intact and under his command, but it moved out of the city weeks ago, and is now camped about a mile to the South; the demons in the city now are members of a dozen different major factions and just as many minor ones. They wear different colors, fly different flags, and subscribe to philosophies anywhere from their usual anarchy to something that seems more befitting elves.
- Elves and demons have started to mix. The elf side of the city remains pure; however, in certain demon sectors, especially the ones that have started to emphasize more autocratic ideals, elves have started showing up in leadership roles.
- A sector near the city center seems to be less divided by race and more by magic. Most majiks
have taken up residence there, though there's no evidence of a real majik culture or society yet.
- All ambassadors now have diaries linked up to the network.
- Elimyr is still in her opaque dome on the battlefield. There's been no stir from it. Some people have started to treat it like a kind of memorial to the battle, putting flowers, candles, incense out there.
Other than that, things are quiet.
